cluts!

I just dropped a bottle of red nail polish and it broke.

Today I tried to return the pair of high heels that I bought for my brother's wedding because my brother's bride didn't like them. She told me I couldn't wear them in her wedding. Sigh. But the store wouldn't take the shoes back. So now I am stuck with this obnxiously hot pair of heels. Now all I need is an excuse to wear them GEEEEZZZ all this talk of red nail polish and high heels...you'd think I was a girl or something.

My new favorite punk band in Denver is Lyin' bitch and the restraining orders. "Girls can't skate because they menstrate!" I'll show them!!!

One of these days I'll get it right

Before I was Luccy I was a straight edge Christian punk skater kid. I loved that shit! I had a whole scene of friends and bands and things to do. This weekend one of my old buddies from back in the day is coming to visit. We are all going to Ouray to see our other buddy and his wife. It should be interesting. Gemmer is from Indiana...he and I have a lot in common. But the rest of the crew...WATCH OUT! Aaron was the meanest most bitter straight edge kid you could ever meet. Now is a pot smokin' hippie that lives in a small moutain town with is hippie wife and his two dogs. Paul was a theology.philosophy dual major that believed sleep was an evolutionary defect (he used to force himself to only sleep three hours a night). Justin is like a walking encyclopedia with the social skills of a monk. In fact he wants to be an orthodox priest someday. He worked in the library while we were in school, then he worked for the EPA, now I think he works for a liquor store in highland's ranch, but lives in Arvada. I believe this will be a monumental weekend. While Anne is off livin' the posh life of NYC, I'll be livin' the hippie life in Ouray, CO!

there is a first time for everthing

Nothing is worse than stressing out over broken plans! I am testing a new theory...its called the "things will fix themselves" theory. Instead of stressing out about not getting my way, I will just be content and let things fix themselves. My friend collin told me last night that his grandma used to tell him "everything that has happened up to this moment has happened for a reason." And if thats true, then everything that will happen will be for a reason, and that reason probably isn't always consistent with the picture in my head of how life should be. If life worked like that, there would be no suprizes, and that's just boring. The appeal of time travel is seeming less and less tempting. Why would I want to live in the future? I love having plans because it gives me soemthing to look forward to, but I am realizing that plans are just a distraction from living in the moment. And there is nothing worse that stressing out over broken plans!

the tao of luccy

All I want is to have an original idea and the capacity to express this idea to others in a way they can relate to it and understand. Originality is only relative to the intake of the idea from the receiving source. Everyone has a role, a thing they do, a part they play. Some sit with their friends, smoke pot and play video games. Others drive an hour to see a band together. Once I had a set of friends and we all would go to church together. Its what we did, what was natural. It is where we wanted to be, where we belonged and how things felt normal. Now I am more of a Christian atheist, a savy loner, a straight homosexual, and I am probably the coolest nerd on the planet. I need a mammogram...do you know of any good doctors?

"I ain't afraid of no ghosts!"

Last night at lounge I took a tour of the "haunted" upstairs at the speak easy. Unfortunately I didn't see any ghosts, but I did get really cold in one particular room. Some girl said that when you get cold its because a ghost is in the room. But she didn't call it a ghost; I don't think that is a PC term. I also met a boy who owns an old school ambulance just like the one from ghost busters! Coincidence? I think not.

I invited my good buddy Paddy to come to Lounge with me, but she replied..."NO all those people are stuck up and they introduce themselves as what they do, and I don't want to be introduced by what I do." So I said cool...we can hang out another time CRABBY! Then I ran into this boy she has been hanging out with and thought it was funny that he was there and she wasn't. Who knew. And he wasn't even there for Lounge, he was there because his friend was having a graduation party. Coincidence? Maybe.

I love the feeling of doing something bad because you have been forcing yourself to be good for such a long time. Like Anne forcing herself not to curse...just think of how she will feel on easter Sunday when she can once again drop the F bomb. Or in the quiet of the night when no one is around and she wishpers..."bitch"...and then lets out a little giggle. "hehe" Thats how I am feeling today...and I don't even feel that bad about it.

Back on the Farm........My brother got married this weekend in breckenridge. I had to wear a big fancy red dress and my hair was all done up and my nails were painted and I even wore high heals. It was a monumental event. Maybe someday I will have the power to post some pictures.
