my duty
On my left is a determined businesswoman. She’s got a meeting in an hour and a half, and she calculated that four people come out every ten minutes and there’s forty people in front of us, therefore, we’ve got about an hour until we’ll be done.
To my right is a cute boy with dreamy eyes, an honest smile, and a volcom belt. He’s been typing on his blackberry for about an hour. Every-once-in-a-while he’ll smile at me or laugh with the businesswoman, but mostly keeps to himself.
I spent two hours with these people. Two hours standing in line to vote, and all I got was a sticker…
and democracy. (kind of)
