I went down the Monte Vista, CO, on Monday to see my dad. I grew up in MV, which is located in the San Luis Valley in southern CO. Nobody ever knows where Monte Vista is when I tell them that's where I'm from.

My dad and I had the best time. We went out to dinner and a movie on Monday. Then I had lunch with him at his Rotary meeting on Tuesday. After lunch we went to visit the elementary school in Monte. My dad goes to hang out with the kids every Tuesday afternoon. The first graders are working on a performance, so we got to help them practice the songs they will sing. It was a great day!
